Ramsey Mayor's Charity Raffle
Ramsey Glass is sponsoring Ramsey Mayor Pat Taylor's Charity Raffle again this year in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance.
The top prize is a £300 voucher from Ramsey Glass to spend on windows or towards a door etc, the second prize is an Ipod and the third prize is champagne and chocolates.
Tickets are £1 each and will be drawn at the Ramsey Christmas Lights Switch On, Saturday, November 27. They are available from the Ramsey Glass offices in Stocking Fen Road, Ramsey, or from Town Council Office, 7 Church Green, Ramsey.
Mrs Taylor said "The East Anglian Air Ambulance provides such a wonderful emergency service to the area that I thought it was very well deserving of our support."
Collette Parker, MD at Ramsey Glass said: "The charity does not receive government or National Lottery funding and is entirely dependent on fund-raising and contributions. To keep its two air ambulances flying and to provide the medical equipment they carry, more than £3 million has to be raised each year; we are therefore very happy to support this worthwhile cause."
Summer Concert at the Abbey
Ramsey Glass sponsored this year's concert in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support. The event was staged by Ramsey Choral Society in July.
The event featured the saxophone quartet Saxaholic, the Alan Norris Big Band, soprano Louise Birt, jazz pianist Greg Chapman and The Abbey College Flute Group.
Andrew Parker Memorial Football Match
and Family Fun Day
In memory of Ramsey Glass' founder, this event raised money for the Child Bereavement Charity. It took place in August at St Ives Football Club.
Ramsey Glass is also pleased to have supported the Ramsey Mereside Strawberry Fayre in July.
All Aboard!
Ramsey Glass recently sponsored the Whittlesey Street Pride volunteers' boat full of flowers "The Spirit of Whittlesey", attractively positioned on the side of the road on the outskirts of the town.
